seek to serve the poor and homeless of our community by sharing the love
of God and giving them: Food for Their

•Every human being should be treated with
dignity and respect, therefore we treat all people that eat at Revival Temple’s

in addressing their needs. •People who are hungry may have broader
issues and needs that should be recognized. •Our volunteers and supporters are a
valued asset and we know that they are essential to our success. •We continue to strive to ensure every
volunteer and guest has a positive and safe experience in our Soup Kitchen. •Everything we do is to glorify God. •All

Sick & Shut-In Ministry
To minister and serve as compassionate saints to the sick and shut-in. To provide loving care and attention to the needs of the saints and their families through visitation, prayer, encouragement, serving communion and God's word. The ministry provides support to those in the hospitals and nursing homes. James 5:14 - Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
The senior, (Seasoned) saints ministry is to promote spiritual, physical, intellectual, social and emotional growth through a variety of wholesome activities that challenge and stimulate older adults to explore areas that will enhance a healthy and vital lifestyle that glorifies God.
The senior adults within Revival Temple church and our surrounding community are extended our love and care at this point in their lives which is needed and important. This ministry focuses on the care and needs of the adults ages 65 and up. It is a function under our outreach and is committed to seniors for fellowship or informative seminars that relate to their needs. Outings will be scheduled and announced free or at minimal cost.
Our commitment is to remain motivated church members that strive for the greatest degree of mental, physical and spiritual health and extending it beyond our four walls by providing a community day for the community families to come out for free health screening, health literature, food and fellowship.
Our community day is held annually and provides free food, music, prayer, gospel entertainment as well as health needs met, social needs met and spiritual. We address the total man during this outdoor event with love and kindness. With assistance of our local merchants, churches and hospitals - professional services are provided to the community.
Revival Temple Church in collaboration with the City of Newark, NJ has committed to maintain a fresh fruits and vegetable garden for the community. In our vacant park directly next door to our church building, we grow and assortment of fruits and vegetables that are cared for and harvested by our community families.
